The Best Marketing

A picture is worth a thousand words, so let’s start with that…

The best marketing that will get you new (and good) clients for your firm specifically, is the kind you both enjoy and reaches your ideal client.

Full stop.

I’ll give you an example of a time I fell into the blue (right) circle…

For about 2 years, I marketed my services on Instagram doing all the posts, reels, stories, etc. I kind of enjoyed it, but after the two years, I looked at my client roster and realized that none of my clients (whom I loved and were ideal) originated from Instagram.

I pretty much stopped putting an effort into Instagram at that point to focus my marketing time where my ideal clients were actually hanging out.

The best marketing is the kind you enjoy, feels natural, and brings you dream clients. Because of that, your marketing plan is going to look different than your firm owner neighbor’s plan. That’s okay.

And it might take you a few months (or years) to figure out what’s working and what’s not. These things take time to figure it out. You might have to throw a little spaghetti on the wall to figure out what sticks. That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. It means you’re learning.

If you need some ideas to get your brain juices flowing…
